Hi
I have a Sony W4500 tv and Im getting no sound through to my Sony home theatre DAVDZ870W (http://www.sony.com.au/product/dav-dz870w)
I connected the audio cable as specified from the "TV" input on the home theatre to the specified output with the "circle" symbol on the TV.
I get sound when I play DVDs but no sound when I watch TV.
Please help!! |

I do not know what you mean by "circle symbol."
On the back of the TV, you should have two "AUDIO OUT" connections that are labeled "right" and "left", or "R" and "L". An ordinary stereo RCA phono cord should be connected there. The other end of this cord should be connected to the home theater's TV R/L inputs.
If the TV's AUDIO OUT is also labeled "(var/fix)", then you should go into the TV's audio setup menu and change the setting to "fixed." You should then hear TV audio on the home theater, provided you select the proper TV sound input on the home theater's receiver. |

Do you have a cable box? If yes connect the audio outs on the cable box to the Sony and select that input. |
