Hi,
I am looking for a real budget ALL in ONE. DVD player+VCR+Home theater 5.1 to hook up to my TV. It should play ALL possible formats incl DVD, CD, MP3, WAV, VCD, DVD+/-R, JPEG, MPEG etc.
I also want to be able to connect satellite TV digital later so it needs a digi input.
To make matters worse I would love have a region free player (non-essential condition)
Does such a system exist? It should play music as well as movies. My living room is small 12*12 and so is my budget <$500.
I was looking at Panasonic SC-HT800V but it has no digi in, and at Sony HT-V600DP or HT-v1000DP but I have heard Sony is not as good as Panasonic for music...
Please help !!! I ideally want everything in one box but can connect stuff together if some good samaritan is willing to tell me what to do!!! |

It's all cheap plastic junk at that price. Get whatever you can afford and then throw it away when get better equipment.
Don't turn it up too loud because it will sound terrible. |
