Hello all! Here is my situation. I have HD Directv, when watching HD I have to adjust the volume, then when a commercial comes on its too loud and I have to turn it down, and when HD comes back from commercial, I have to turn it up again. This is a royal pain! HELP!!!!!!! I have a AVR-2307, Directv is plugged in via HDMI. Thanks much |

Greetings Luis, Contact Directv (1.800.DIRECTV) and complain. They are the ones allowing the advertiser to increase the audio gain to get more attention. |

Blaring commecials are a problem for all of us this is not a direcTV problem. In some of todays newer receivers they are using a Dolby Lab device to maintain the volume at all times. These are some links dealing with the problem. http://www.hometheatermag.com/news/082408loudtvads/index.html http://hometheatermag.com/news/050608toshiba/ http://www.dolby.com/consumer/technology/dolby-volume.html |

Can't help but wonder where the FCC is on this issue? Another government agency asleep at the wheel? While they're at it maybe they should look into those radio commercials featuring sirens too?? |
