plugged amp intp audio out from viseo tv and it works but not full power like when i had it hooked up to my 15 year old sony why? and when i raise volume of tv it doesnt raise volume of system but did with my sony? do i need to buy an amplifier? is this new viseo lacking something my sony has? |

The audio out of your Vizio is not amplified as was your Sony. What is the "amp" you are connecting the TV to? |

From what I can gather about your HT system the input from your TV should be at least as loud as any other external device and you should not require any further amplification. If the sound is really poor I would first try different input into the receiver and if there is no change different cabling. |
