Guys, got a typical coaxial cable that feeds my picture from my cable provider. I do not use a cable box. Anyway, what ist he proper hookup for this cable with a Yamaha rx-v1300 system? There is no coax hookup on the back of the receiver except for one but is an RCA type port. Is there some sort of cable that changes the typical screw typ coaxial cable to an RCA input? Do I just continue to plug te coax cable into my tv and then us the RCA audio jacks out of my tv and run those into the receiver? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You're second idea is correct. No home theatre receivers that I'm aware of have cable TV tuners built in. That means there is no way to plug the cable from your wall into your receiver. Continue to plug the cable into your TV, then run a stereo audio cable (usually colour coded red and white) from the audio outputs on your TV into your home theatre receiver. Hope this helps.
