A store around me has many Bose lifestyle systems on 50% off sale. I am considering getting one. A few questions: a. A number of you in these forums have stated that Bose is over-rated and expensive? WOuld you say the same if I got it at 50% off? b. If I were to get the bose, I'd like to know which one should I get - the classic lifestyle series (48,38,28) or the V series (V30, V20, V10 etc.) The V sesries comes without the DVD player. Is it worth paying for the DVD player? Or should I just get my own? |

A Bose system for for free is still a Bose system and it will not sound any better no matter how little you spend on it. |

The DVD player is not going to last forever so I would go with the one without and just use a separate unit. Especially considering that you will want a blu ray player and not a dvd player anyway. The question you are asking is really up to you. If you go to the store and you like what you see and hear then you have answered your question. Audition the other units they have and compare. If you do not feel that they sound any better then there ya go.... I think it is already pretty clear how we feel about Bose the question is what do you think. |
