I'm trying to decide between purchasing either the Denon AVR-985s or the Harman Kardon AVR 430. The receiver I choose will be powering Acoustic Research speakers. If it were you, which would you choose, and why? Thanks.

I just did a 2 hour comparison yesterday between these two models and I chose the Denon as I prefereed the sound in 2 channel as with some songs the voices sounded muffled on the 430.

Have you listened to both?
For the Acoustic Research I'd go with the HK. Couple the Denon with the AC and I just didn't like the shrillness.
It is a matter of your preference so listen well.
