Just purchased Onkyo SR701 AV receiver. Sound sensational except when sub woofer starts to make crackling sounds with extreme bass scenes on DVD movie. Sound like it's going to blow up. Set crossover to 80Hz but still there. Any Tips.

try scaling down on the subwoofer/lfe output during your set-up. There should be a db cut-off in your speaker calibration, to limit the volume of the subwoofer. And also, use a sound level meter when calibrating your speakers.
