I've made my first good HT purchases this week and I'm looking for some input regarding a good subwoofer for HT and audio that can round my system. I looked into the Tannoy TS12 and wasn't really impressed. For $925 Cdn, a REL T1 was recommended to me, but I've yet to try it out. Looking for something for under $1000. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!! My current system is: Receiver: Denon 2808 Front L/R: Tannoy S8LR Centre: Tannoy S8C Rears: cheapie bookshelf (for now) PS3 for all audio, video playback |

hi chris if you want to match your tannoys, try AudiophileLiquidator.com, they have a tannoy ts12 for $592.65, also a highline for $778.95. check the matching rear bookshelfs, you might get all three for about a grand. |

Hi Tony, Thanks for the response. I'll check out the site, but since I'm in Canada, they really kill you on duty and shipping. As I mentioned, the TS12 really bottomed out while watching Master and Commander and was quite poor for a 2.1 music environment. If you have another suggestion, that'd be great! |
