I'm considering the HTS760...I see there are three digital audio inputs (2 optical and 1 coax). While I'd prefer 3 optical, are all three inputs independent of each other? In other words, can you use all three inputs simultaneously or is the coax and one of the opticals sort of tied together so you can only use one or the other.

I just purchased the HTS760 three days ago, and from what I have seen (setting up my listening parameters), you can INDIVIDUALLY assign EACH of the three inputs to separate components. The best way to confirm this is to try one out at a store.
