Can anyone help me here with this connection issue? When I hook up my laptop via the HDMI cable to my receiver, my laptop blinks in and out(giving the connect/disconnect sound) and I have no pic on the TV. When I connect directly to the TV I get pic. What am I missing?

Compatibility issues?!?

You may want to connect directly to the TV then from the TV to the receiver.
