Hello everyone,

I am new to Home theater configurations. I have my HD Satellite box and DVD player both running to my Sony receivers component inputs. I then have a set of component cables going from an output called "Monitor Out" on my receiver to my HD rear projection Samsung monitor. For whatever reason I can not seem to get this to work. I would like to do this so I can do the component switching on my receiver instead of changing inputs on my tv. Am I correct in assuming that the "Monitor Out" should be used for this purpose? Someone please help

Sounds like you have it setup right. Are you sure it's not broken or something?

A friend had (i think) that same amp. We noticed some degredation of the video on a 50" HD plasma.
He had another problem of more than 2 sources, so he ordered this external switcher:

which worked very nice. I setup some macros in his remote so that he doesn't have to think about switching it.
