Does anyone know of home theaters systems that I can hook my external harddrive up to through the usb and play movies? I seen some with usb but i wasnt too sure about them being able to read it.

Most USB inputs for receivers only deal with audio files and not video files.

Probably another model year and we'll be getting a video reading USB connection for receivers.
