When given the choice of choosing the db for each speaker using the OSD, the choice for each speaker goes up +12. My question is, does it matter if I set the levels to 12 (center and fronts, I know rears should be lower) and just keep the master volume control, while watching a DVD for example, at less than the midway point or set the levels lower and crank up the master volume to more than halfway? Thanks for any help. |

It is basically the same thing. The dB adjustment is used for fine tuning so if you max them out, well you can then tune no more! I would leave them all "centered" and make minor adjustments to each depending on your room, where you sit in it, and how you like to listen. |
