First post everyone
I'm hooking up my new home theater system and would like to use the 50" plasma I bought a couple years ago since I have no money left after buying all the new audio components. However it only has a DVI input and my receiver is of course HDMI 1.3. I know that there are HDMI to DVI adapters available inexpensively and I wanted to get opinions or feedback about any quality loss that I might expect compared to DVI. Eventually I'll replace the TV, but if the difference is minor I won't feel the need to rush out and switch.

Michael, my HDMI®DVI adaptor works great on my 4 year old Hitachi 50". I just now started to use my TV's DVI input with a Toshiba HD DVD. Ordered the adaptor and a 15 ft. HDMI cable from monoprice. Couldn't be happier. There is complete backwards compatibility betweeen HDMI and DVI, so there's no reason to expect any video compromise when feeding HDMI into a DVI input.
