Hi, I hope that someone can help me pick out the right receiver. I am currently looking to upgrade my receiver (only has digital dolby). I would mostly be using it for video, although fairly good audio is important to me as well.

I picked up the Energy Take 5.1, with S8 subwoofer, a couple of years ago. I would like something that would be able to go well with these speakers.

I've been looking at a Denon 1804/2803 (I think the higher-numbered models may be too much for my speakers). What about Yamaha and Marantz receivers?

Any insights would greatly be appreciated!

Okay, I did a little more research and narrowed it down to Denon 3803 or Marantz 7300. Are these good choices that would work?

I have a few sets of Tape 5.1s and have used them successfully on Denon 1801 and 1803s.

Hope this helps.

I have the Denon, but if I had to do it all over again, I would get the Marantz 7300. It is much warmer and better for music, as well as HT.
