Hey!

I am setting up my home theater and currently have a JVC RX-8040B receiver with 2 Fronts, a Center, and thinking of getting 2 Rears.

My receiver supports all the usual things: Dolby Digital EX, PL IIx, DTS Neo:6, DTS 96/24, etc, all the usual.

Now, I was trying to look up what all of these do, but, I just wanted some advice to see if any of these are useful for my setup.

Suppose I had a 3.0 (Fronts / Center) setup, are any of these any use for me?

Suppose I had a 5.0 (Fronts / Center / Rear), any of these any use?

Too many options!

That is all up to the end user.

That is why there are choices.
