We just got a new dvd home theater system. Samsung HT-WX70. We want to hook it up so that the cable tv audio comes out of the speakers.

We have a sony Triniton tv and Verizon HD cable box.

I set up the HDMI cable from the cable box to the Samsung and another HDMI cable from the Samsung to the TV. I am able to get the sound to come through but can not get the video to show up. I have read through everything but can not figure this out. I am sure I am missing something simple but cant figure it out. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Try a couple of things.

1. When everything's off, start by turning on the TV first. After it's had sufficient time to get fully operational, then turn on the Samsung and go to the HDMI input (AUX?). Then turn on the cable box. This may solve any possible HDMI "handshake" problem you may have here between the three devices. If this does't work, then

2. Try hooking the cable box's HDMI output directly to the TV and see if you have a picture then.
