I have the Samsung LN-T4061F TV, with the sony dvp-ns57p dvd player, hooked up to the logitech z-5500 surround sound PC speaker system. The DVD player is connected to the audio system via a digital coax cable and the audio works fine when playing a DVD. The DVD player is hooked up to the tv via the red/white/yellow cables. My question for you all is how to produce surround sound out of the Logitech speaker system when I use the cable television signal? A buddy of mine from work told me about how he puts his DVD on auxiliary mode and is able to send the sound coming from the cable box into the dvd player and then out the surround sound system. Can anyone help me please? |

Connect the cable box's audio output into the Logitech system. If your cable box doesn't have a digital audio output, then upgrade your cable box to digital. |
