Hi,
I am looking for floorstanding speaker & AV receiver for the purpose of 50% HT and 50% music(any).

I did some audition on the following: (Pls comment)
A. AV Receiver (Asia country)

1) Onkyo TX-SR605
2) Denon AVR1906
3) Denon AVR2307
4) Marantz SR4001
5) Marantz SR6001

B) Floorstanding speakers
---------------------------
1) PSB Image T45
2) Audio Pro Level 9
3) Mordaunt Short 908i
4) Mission m35i
5) EPOS ELS 303

Current Setting:

I am currently using Arcam Alpha One amp with Yamaha DSP for the 5.1 channel Pro-Logic and having a pair of Mission bookshelf front speakers (>10 yrs old) + REL Sub (>8 yrs old) + Yamaha center speakers (>8 yrs old) and a pair of small Jamo rear speakers. No full HDTV, no HD-DVD but planning to upgrade later when HDMI/blu-ray/HD technologies mature and with a lower price.

I would like to seek some comments from the forum expert whether go for future proof HDMI or go for 5.1 DTS/DDS-ex which is sufficent?

For speakers, I heard that most of the speakers are manufactured in China nowaday like Mission, MS and PSB? Is that true and is that a key factor for buying speaker?
