It has been awhile, and I see so many options any more. So some help would be greatly appreciated. I am currently trying to upgrade the old home stereo equipment, and I really need help with deciding on a receiver (have not found a local stereo shop that carries many choices).
Everything is in a big concrete room 20x36 & this is what I have.
TV is a Mitsubishi 54" 1080I (4 years old or so).
Direct TV HD Dual Tuner Receiver.
PS3
Infinity Beta 20 for Front
Infinity Beta C360 center channel
Pinnacle 12in 150w Powered Sub Front Firing
Bose 201 series IV for the Back
Current Receiver Onkyo TX-SR501 (that is what will be upgraded)
Ok first question is should I dump the money on some Beta 10's for the back and move the Bose to another room, or would this just be a waste (looking for some opinions here).
Second Question MAIN Question
I have been looking at a few differant receivers the Onkyo TX-SR605, TX-SR804, and the Dennon AVR-2807 (also open to other suggestions).
Third Question
Any good suggestions on a DVD player (I know the sony can do it but the wife hates using it).
I am looking for future capabilities in this receiver, and would like to keep the price under $1k unless I can get huge gains somewhere (preferably around $600 or so).

Forgot to ask the question, Which receiver would you suggest BANG FOR THE BUCK etc... or other/better suggestions.
