Hi,

I am planning a home theater built around a few components I already have. For sound, I will probably use it 90% as HT and 10% just music (rock and jazz). I currently have a pair of magnepan SMGa's (about 20 years old) which I would like to use as front left/right. I also have some old EPI speakers I was going to use for the 2 back surround speakers.

To add to that, I was thinking of

Magnepan MMGC center chanel speaker $300
SVSound PB 10 sub $430
NAD 755 receiver $1000?

I don't know if the NAD really exists. I have seen a listing for it, and it has been mentioned in a recent review, but it is not listed on the NAD site.

The question is whether or not this seems sensible, or if there is something I should definitely do differently.

One other detail which may be relevant, the room is 16 by 40; one room flows into another, but viewing/listening would be more like 20' from the front wall.

JJ

The NAD T755 does exist. Your local NAD dealer should be able to get them now. From what my dealer says, it is their best receivers to date.
