I have an older Sony 5.1 reciever, no HDMI inputs or even component. However it does have a S/PDIF jack for 5.1. System is for my computer / TV which I am using a 37" Westinghouse 1080p. It's probably only 50-75 watts a channel and I can select 4ohm or 8 ohm on the back.

I'm basicaly just looking for a system that will sound better than Logitec z5500's. I like Audiophile stuff but this is going to be in my bedroom and I don't have much cash. The monitor has crappy speakers.

I can get Logitec Computer speaker z5500's for $250 shipped. I was looking at getting JBL SCS200.5 for $150 shipped. Would these work any better than logitecs? I was also looking at some Infinity TSS-500 for about $300 shipped.

Would I be better off getting some B&W DM 601 S3 Stereo speakers for like $300?

Please help!

Other suggestions are greatly appreciated as well!
