I just hooked my Dad’s new TV up to his components and I’m having a problem DVD recorder. I used a component video cable to run it to the TV and that’s fine. The problem is the audio through optical toslink, there’s no sound, if I run RCA audio there is sound? Should I try another optical toslink cable?

In the DVD audio menus, set the digital audio output to bitstream.
