i just baught a new house i have a pioneer surround system in the living room sounds ok not wonderfull.  i have a second living room and want to add a killer system to it what are some good systems? i wana spen around 500 for all of it LOL thats what i can spen (wife said) thanks! |

This is just an opinion , but $500 will not get much in refards to quality if that is your entire budget for the entire surround system. $500 could get you a pair of bookshelf speakers and a small steroe reciever.
Although there are some HTIB systems that you might get for around $500, but the quality will not be much to speak of... in my opinion.

$500 is not even going to get you a half decent set of speakers. You could go for a HTIB system, but like John said, it won't really impress you and you'll invariably be upgrading in short order. |
