I have a high definition tv (samsung)a PS3 and a sony Amplifier 7.1 (STRDB895B) and a 5.1 sound system from wharfedale. My doubt is .. should i buy an amplifier with hdmi support ?
joe, we all get 'upgradeitis' disease from time to time. Some people say that mid-level Sony receivers are the worst major name-brand on the market. Some are convinced they can get better sound from another amp. Some just get tired of looking at the same product everyday. And so it goes....
My direct answer to your question is that it is too early to buy into the HDMI hardware. My question to you is why do you think you need HDMI?
i need hdmi not for the sound but for the image because i have a playstation 3 with blueray...and if you dont have an hdtv to use with your ps3... you are not taking full profit from your hardware my only doubt its about the sound .. will he be better if i use an amp with hdmi support..
