I just bought a new pioneer elite vsx 53 tx. It has a sub output. I built a 15" subwoofer powered with a carver 500 watt amp some 10 years ago and never used a sub output. Is it ok to run a powered sub through a powered output or should I run the sub through another non powered output? Im I by passing the carver amp's power and using only the receiver wattage when using the sub output?
