Just had my new system installed. JSP Mozart (Malt) Cabinet Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50" Yamaha RX-V659BL Klipsch RF-82 Towers, RC-62 Center, CDT-2500-C Ceiling Velodyne 10" DLS-3750R Sub Escient Fireball DVDM-1000 Philips Pronto Remote Xbox 360 Elan IR Remote (Changing to RF though) LInkysus Wireless Adapter. So far only thing disappointing is the IR rcv unless you are right up to the rcv it does not receive. Switching to RF for this. The Escient has been finicky but it seems to be working after alot of tweaking with the wireless. (Plus their servers were down for awhile)

Very nice equipment selection and the AV credenza is top notch. Qaulity does not come cheap but you can see if from a mile away. The clean look is also partial to my tastes. Great Job! |

The Canadians make great furniture and speaker cabinets too! I considered the JSP stuff but went with Laurier instead. P.S. Can we get some editing tools around here eCoustics? Please. Pretty Please. With sugar on top! |

Very nice setup there Beau. Especially since the powers that be didn't decree an over-the-fireplace TV installation. Congrats. |

Kyle, Funny you should say that, I just priced an Emotiva SMP-1 in 5 channel configuration for US$1350 and free delivery. It is the one of the triplets that include Carver\Sunfire and Sherbourn design. 200watts per channel that uses an expandable rack and modular channels for great signal separation. Klipsch speakers are very efficient/sensitive. One of the few speaker designs that will hit 117dB (movie reference levels) with only 67 watts! Not many speakers will do that and that is why a good 120watt receiver is plenty for most people owning horn loaded speakers. Very few direct radiating speakers can do that with 1000 watts!!! Gives people great performance until they can afford to get a separate amp to address impedance dips. |
