I am looking to integrate all the television components and the computer all into one system. I have sold my Kenwood receiver off b/c it had no new digital inputs or anything, and I was planning to buy a new receiver, but before I do that, I want to see if anyone has had any sucess with connecting their Media Center PC to standard home theater speakers. Is there an amp available for this, or perhaps some audio card that would allow me to integrate home theater speakers and sub with the computer w/o the need for the receiver? The receivers I am looking at are all great components, but it just really seems redundant. |

I never did try an amp, I just plugged my sound card's digital audio out into my receiver and bam, HTPC (sorta). I don't know of any audio card for that purpose. What receivers are you looking at and what is your budget? |

PC's just do not have enough juice to drive unpowered speakers. |
