i bought a yamaha yht-755 includes the htr-5740 receiver and 5 disc dvd player. having difficulty installing everything(direct tv,dvd and surrond sound all together with monster htib home theater connection kit) into receiver and getting picture to big screen?help someone?? only temp fix until i get my plasma |

dvd video component out to tv,dvd player audio out to av receiver audio in. direct tv receiver goes right to tv correct or into av receiver then what? and will work with theater unit?? |

1. Yes 2. Depends on the output of your direct TV. If it has video outputs, connect them to the TV and audio depends on the output. If it is stereo only, just go to the TV then from TV to receiver. If digital output then go to receiver. |

try usding optical cables to hook up the dvd and the cable box, use components for the rest |
