I am sure this has been covered before but, it seems most posts get hijacked about half way through so I am just making a new one.

I just purchased a HL-S5087W 50" 1080P HDTV. This unit does not have a DVI connection but rather a 15 pin SVGA connection. At the heart of my Home Theater I have an Onkyo TX-SR674. My video card has both DVI and SVGA outputs.

My question is this. What connection will get me the best picture, hooking the HTPC using a 15 pin to 15 pin straight to the TV or a converter to component and hooking it into my receiver?
