When I watch TV/DVD in low light, the bright LEDs on my DVD player and amp are very distracting.

I'm considering tinting the glass on my equipment cabinet to reduce/eliminate this annoyance. My questions are:

- Has anyone else done this?
- What tinting did you buy?
- Is it effective?
- Did tinting reduce the effectiveness of your remote controls?
