I have 3 components (cable box, receiver ,dvd recorder) on 3 separates shelves behind a door in a cabinet. I want to be able to use the remotes and keep the door shut. Do I need 3 different receivers/emitters or is there one that will "broadcast" the IR signal to all the devices? |

Most will work for all components. One IR reader out to multiply senders. |

Most setups come with either more than one "ir mouse" or at least wires that have two "ir mice" on the end. In turn most of the hardware (transmitter boxes) out there have multiple outputs for this. Like Casey said you will have either one reader eye in the main room, or multiple around the house if you have different zones. |
