Without any of the connections being disturbed, I encountered an unusual home theater problem that I have not been able to diagnose. Here is the situation: My normal operation is to have the TV set to the TV input. However, one day I noticed that I was getting a fuzzy picture, but the problem was simply cured by pressing the TV input button on the remote and switching the TV input to Video 1. However, when I turn on my receiver, the tv picture goes off and switches to the on-screen setup guide for the receiver, so if I want to watch TV while listening to music, I need to switch the TV input to TV and watch with the fuzzy picture. My receiver is a NAD T742. Any ideas as to what is happening here? Any guidance is really appreciated. |

What is connected to Video 1? Do you have a composite connection (yellow) from the cable box and an S-video from the receiver to the same input? If yes the S-video is over riding the composite connection. simply unplug the receiver from the TV until you need it or use two differnt inputs (video1 or video2). |
