So this was a gift I gave to a mother with a TV that only has RF Coaxial: a very nice Sony RDRVX-515 DVD/VHS combo. I bought an RCA modulator box too and it all works with one drawback. The modulation sets off copyright encryption as if the combo unit was connected to a VCR.

So does anybody know of a modulator solution that will not set off copyright encryption?
