I think S-vid can support up to 780i or 480P, higher resolutions I'm not sure about. Maybe it can detect 780p. I think it depends on the Tv you're using, or computer.

No, s-video cannot support higher than 480i. You would need component video or hdmi to do higher resolutions.

Of course that's because they have more bandwidth support. I'd probably go component and a digital audio cable because I'm kinda weary about carrying both audio and video in one cable.
