I need help to set up my home theatre system. I have an amp, cable box (1 HDMI hook up), DVD recorder/VCR combo (1 HDMI hook up), and an LCD flatscreen TV (1 HDMI hook up). I would like to be able to record on the DVD player on all chanels while watching other chanels. I would be so grateful if someone could help me. |

I don't know what you mean by amp. By hook up do you mean input and output? Could you please explain your setup a little bit more? |

I'm assuming you mean you're wanting to watch TV broadcasts. All you need to do is hook the fixed audio outputs of your TV to an audio input of the receiver. |

Thanks for the help My system includes an onkio 7.1 reciever (Amp), A Toshiba LCD flat pannel TV , a DVD recorder/ VCR combo and a cable box. I can use the DVD recorder to play movies etc. but I am having trouble getting it to record through the cable box rather than through the incoming antenna from the wall. |
