(Sorry, I'm clueless) I was just curious. If I have an Xbox360 and a digital cable box and I would like to buy a sweet 5.1/6.1 surround sound system for them, and have a HDMI HDTV that has no high def audio input... what is the best solution? Is it still possible to have DIGITAL to DIGITAL audio? Can I get an amp that has both HDMI input and output? (HDMI is audio, too, right? That way it would be dig. to dig?) And if so, how expensive are these? Any suggestions welcome! |

Welcome to the forum Luke, If you have an HDTV with HDMI, you already have a high definition audio input. So you will want a receiver that has both an HDMI input and output. This will take care of your digital needs and that will include your Xbox and digital cable box. Price depends on the brand and the features. Put "HDMI receivers" into a search engine and you will see plenty. |
