Can anyone help? I can't get the dolby digital 5.1 option on the receiver. I am using the playstation 2 as my DVD player. It is connected to the receiver via Monster's Interlink fiber optic cable. I have also connected 2 analog audio cables from the ps2 to the receiver, and the 3 video cables (component) to the back of the TV. I have also enabled Dolby Digital on the ps2 as well as optical output. Is there a problem with my connection? If anyone is familiar with the Kenwood HTB-504 please help... |

Disconnect analog audio cables as the optic cable is your audio now. Analog overrides the optical connection. |

There is a specific setting that you make on the front panel of the unit, it is clearly spelled out in the manual that ships with the unit. I cannot tell you exactly how to perform the setting without the manual in front of me, and it is some- what difficult to find in their manual, but IT IS IN THERE !!! I will take a look at my manual at work (I sell them) and will re-post the exact steps involved, it's really simple. Bluewilly, Cincinnati, oh. |
