I am considering getting a VGA to Component Vidio breakout cable to connect my laptop to an HDTV. Currently I am limited to S-Vidio out / S-Vidio in with max resolution 800x600. Is it possible I can make this work with nothing more than the breakout cables and some settings tweaks? I am guessing that this is a difficult question to answer as is depends on a host of hardware/software considerations but if there's a good chance of success I'l pursue it: if I need a $200 box I'll let it go.
