I have a dennon AVR 800 with fronts as Boston Acoustics Micro 80X. My centre channel is a sonny as our the rears (I know the centre and rears are poor) My sub is a Boson Acoustics SW10.

When we look at home Theater systems in the stores they sound so clear and sharp. Is My old Dennon receiver hurting me. Is there a difference between dolby pro logic (I think thats what the Dennon is and 5.1??

YES! Your Denon avr800 is a pro logic only receiver, a newer receiver will out put Dolby Digital or DTS and will have a better sound. http://usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/AVReceivers.asp
