We left our house for 4 months with sound intact. Came home with the following mystery. Have TV hooked up to cable box, VCR and 5 disc DVD theater in a box. TV sound works on TV output, DVD works fine on video 1 through the DVD player, no sound through the cable box on video 1 and no sound through the VCR. Cable man couldn't fix it. Cable are exactly like I left them. House sitter watched lower cable channels on TV signal, so worried some buttons were pushed. Cable box was turned off for the 4 months. Have checked to make sure VCR and TV are on channel 3, all TV, VCR DVD outputs were checked by cable man, all correct. Any suggestions?? An not able to watch any upper channels on my cable box or watch any VHS.

The cable comes into the VCR first due to the PIP in the TV. Thanks
