I just recently bought a new Magnavox (model 32MF231D). I noticed that it does not have the normal audio output jacks. I have a stereo system and was hoping to hook it up using my current stereo speakers but do not know how to go about this without the usual (red and white) audio output jacks. I saw that it does have a digital audio output jack (SPDIF OUT) but I was not sure if I needed a new surround system to be able to connect it.

Ashley,
Unfortunately without the usual conventional audio outputs you cannot use the analog inputs of your receiver. You are going to need one that has digital inputs.

Are you using a cable box or a satellite receiver?
