I recently rebought speaker wire and accidently bought 14/4 instead of 16/4. How much of a difference will it make. Is it worth it to replace it and eat the money. My speakers on the Moniter 7's, but my receiver is only a 85 watt Onkyo. |

I would have wasted about 30 bucks, and the new speaker wire will cost me an additonal 45 bucks. |

14 gauge is ideal but 16 should work just as well. |

I think he did it the other way around... assuming we are talking AWG here (yes there is a metric) the14 gauge is bigger than the 16. Assuming equal quality (which seems likely from the same store) the 14 is "better". |
