Hi Guys,
I have a Denon 2807 and Kef 3005
Dolby surround works fine. However, when I switch to DTS on the Denon, no sound comes out. When I switch back to Dolby, there’s sound again.
I was playing terminator 2, and I changed the audio on the DVD from Dolby to DTS. When I did that, the receiver recognised DTS and played.
But, with DVD’S with no audio option, it just plays in Dolby (default). All DVDs I tried have Dolby and DTS.
I have enabled Dolby and DTS on the DVD player.
How do I get my receiver to play both formats?
I have the surround mode on manual for the Denon.

That is not a problem with the receiver.

You state that all DVD;s you tried have Dolby and DTS. Then you go on to state that you have DVD's with no audio option. DVDs that do not have audio options don't necessarily mean they are encoded in DTS.

DTS is an encoding format, if it is not encoded into the DVD it will not be there nor will you able to play it on any receiver that has a DTS decoder.
