Hello, I have a home theater set-up with a Yamaha HTR-5440 receiver. It has a minimum 65W output and a maximum output of 80W per channel (These numbers are from memory, since I'm at work, but I think they are correct). I got the receiver about 2 years ago and they came with 5 cheap Yamaha speakers and a sub woofer. I am not happy with the speakers (Yamaha NSP-220)and would like to replace them with something better. Can someone recommend speakers for this unit? I am open to keeping the sub woofer but the rest of the speakers, especially the center and main channel speakers, have got to go. They are very muddy and not much of an improvement over the TV speakers. I would like to keep the budget at around $500 tops. Thanks for the help. |

Thanks Berny, I'll take a look at them tonight. Anyone have an opinion about the Orb Audio speakers? A friend suggested I look into them. |
