Okay I took two hours to read all the bose bashing in the archive. With that said I have a Bose LS 5 and could not be happier, I know ignorance is bliss. Here is what I want to do. From the speaker output on back of the unit I would like to run a set of Bose 251's ($260) since these are not powered this would also require a SA3 amp @ another $250.
What do you think of this idea, and or what would you recomend. Outside covered patio 18w x 35L pool side.

Go for it. It's not like you will have people criticizing your outdoor set-up. You would need something durable. The refinement of sound or lack thereof will not be noticeable nor is it going to go through a lot of criticism. Who cares, it is in a patio and a party should be going on at the time, right?
