i just recently brought this system for like 40$, i just couldnt pass on the price. The system is a dvd/receiver. Everything is working well ( dvds , and games are playing crisp in suround) but i was wondering if anyone with any experience with this system knows if it is possible to get it to play surround sound through my TV ( no cable box) just standard channels. If you do know how is it possible i can get a step by stap list plz. Any help at all would be greatly apperciated

It won't do that unless the signal from the broadcast is in surround sound and only if your TV has the capability to output 5.1 signals. You can always matrix the stereo sound from the TV, read your manual on how this can be done.
