I'm trying to hook my Bose Cinemate speaker system into my Harmon/Kardon 240 receiver so that I can listen to dvd's and surround sound through the cinemate. Right now, it only plays what's showing on the televsion, even when I switch the receiver over to DVD. There are two built in rear speakers in the house which I have connected up and seem to work ok. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or if this can even work?

How is the DVD player connected to the receiver?
