I have a panasonic plasma and an Media ctr pc controlled by a harmony remote. The IR receiver on the tv is too far from the IR receiver for the pc. Therefore, certain macros (such as turning on the tv) that requires a response from both tv and computer do not work properly.

This monitor has a serial connection. I have a serial cable connecting the tv to com1. I expected to go into hyperterinal and be able to send/receive something but that is not happening.

Anyone know a referance for this kind of situation? How to test connection etc.

Answers would be most appreciated...

Try restarting a PC. Buy a Mac!
